The American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka (AmCham Sri Lanka), in partnership with Standard Chartered Sri Lanka, will host a cybersecurity forum titled “SeCure 2026: Strengthening Organizations Against Tomorrow’s Threats” on 4 August in Colombo, NewsFirst reported.

The executive breakfast forum is designed to bring together senior business leaders, cybersecurity professionals, policymakers and technology experts to examine the escalating cyber threats facing organisations and to discuss practical strategies for building resilience. According to Daily Mirror, the event will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott in Colombo.

The keynote address will be delivered by Chris Fleming, Executive Director and Head of Client and Third-Party Security at Standard Chartered. Drawing on his experience running cybersecurity programmes at a major international bank, Fleming is expected to share global best practices on cyber resilience, governance and risk management. His session will include an interactive exercise in which participants respond to evolving cyber scenarios to test their decision-making and collaboration in real time.

A panel discussion will follow, featuring Fleming alongside Roger Norton, Executive Director and Head of Transaction Banking at Standard Chartered Sri Lanka, and Dinuka Perera, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of LankaPay. The session will be moderated by Chinthaka Dunuwille of Microsoft Sri Lanka, who also serves on the AmCham SL board. Panellists are expected to review recent cyber and fraud incidents, governance expectations and approaches to strengthening organisational defences.

Organisers said the forum is expected to draw around 150 senior decision-makers, including chief executives, board directors, chief information and information-security officers, chief financial officers, legal professionals, risk managers and policymakers. AmCham Sri Lanka said the initiative reflects its partnership with Standard Chartered to help strengthen cyber resilience across the country’s corporate sector by connecting local business leaders with international expertise.
