President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met the Sri Lanka Cricket Transformation Committee at the Presidential Secretariat on Monday afternoon to discuss the obstacles facing the development of cricket in the country.

According to the President’s Media Division, discussions focused on the issues and challenges involved in developing the sport, and on the support the government could provide towards its continued progress.

Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Sunil Kumara Gamage and Chief of Staff to the President Prabath Chandrakeerthi attended the meeting.

The committee was represented by its chairman, Eran Wickramaratne, along with members Roshan Mahanama, Avanthi Colombage, Upul Kumarapperuma, Thushira Radella, Sidath Wettimuny and Dinal Philip.

The Transformation Committee was established to review and restructure the administration of Sri Lanka Cricket, an organisation that has faced sustained scrutiny over governance in recent years. Its membership draws on former international players and figures from finance and law.

No decisions arising from the meeting were announced.
