The Indian Test squad arrived in Sri Lanka on Tuesday for a two-match series under the 2025-2027 World Test Championship.
The team landed at Bandaranaike International Airport at 3.50 p.m. on SriLankan Airlines flight UL 1144 from Mumbai. Sri Lanka Cricket officials were at the airport to receive the visiting side.
The first Test runs from August 15 to 19 at the Galle International Cricket Stadium. The second is scheduled for August 23 to 27 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo.
Sri Lanka Cricket has arranged a practice match for the tourists from August 7 to 9 at the NCC Ground in Colombo, giving the squad close to a week of preparation before the series opens.
Both sides come into the series needing points. India currently sits fifth in the World Test Championship standings and Sri Lanka sixth, leaving the two-match contest with a direct bearing on where each finishes in the cycle.
