Agencies within the Derana Media Network collected several honours at the 2026 Dragons of Sri Lanka Awards, held in Colombo.

IdeaHell, a subsidiary of the network, won a Gold award for its “Seat of Care (Suwa Sasuna)” campaign. The same agency, working with Mindshare Sri Lanka, took a Silver award in the Creative Excellence category for the campaign “A Journey by Sky.”

A third campaign, “Asamanya Paper,” produced in collaboration with the Ada Derana 24 and Xtra channels, won both Gold and Bronze awards at the ceremony.

About the awards

The Dragons of Sri Lanka Awards recognise results-driven marketing communications, strategic thinking and creative execution in Sri Lankan campaigns. The programme is organised by the Accredited Advertising Agencies Association of Sri Lanka (4A’s SL) in partnership with Dragons of Asia, the regional effectiveness awards scheme.

Entries are judged against a scoring threshold rather than ranked against one another, with successful work receiving Gold, Silver, Bronze or Black Dragon certificates. The structure means multiple agencies can take the same tier in a category, and campaigns falling just short of Bronze still receive recognition.

The awards sit alongside the wider Dragons of Asia programme, which has run for more than two decades across the region and has expanded into markets including Malaysia and Pakistan.

Disclosure: this report is based on Ada Derana’s account of the ceremony. Ada Derana is part of the Derana Media Network, the same group as the agencies and channels named among the winners. No other newsroom had reported the results at the time of writing.
