Sri Lanka Cricket has confirmed the national men’s team will tour Pakistan in October and November 2026 for a multi-format series comprising three T20 Internationals, an ODI tri-nation series involving England, and two Tests.

A substantial assignment
Six weeks covering all three formats against a single host is an unusually full tour by current scheduling standards, where bilateral series are often trimmed to fit franchise windows. The itinerary is also unusually compact geographically: every fixture is in Rawalpindi, Lahore or Islamabad, with no travel to Karachi or Multan.
The tri-series format gives Sri Lanka four ODIs plus a possible final against two opponents in a fortnight — a heavier one-day workload than a standard bilateral series would provide, and the kind of block that tends to precede a global tournament cycle.
The inclusion of a three-day practice match against the Patrons XI before the Tests indicates a deliberate red-ball preparation window rather than a direct switch from white-ball cricket.
