Abanchy Ceylon (Pvt) Limited, the logistics arm of Pink Eagle Holdings, has incorporated a Kenyan subsidiary, Abanchy Africa Limited, extending a foreign network the group began building in 2024.
The new company will operate as a freight-forwarding and logistics business serving customers across Kenya, covering sea freight, air freight, customs clearance, transportation and warehousing, according to the company announcement carried by Hiru News.
The group says the Kenyan base is intended as a platform for the wider East African region rather than for Kenya alone.

Group Chairman and Managing Director Asitha Silva said the Kenyan incorporation reaffirmed a commitment to building “a resilient and future-ready business group with the potential for competitive growth in new directions,” and that the aim in Africa was to “deliver sustainable value and drive innovation.”
The company also framed the move as combining local market knowledge with freight-forwarding expertise and integrated logistics services already offered elsewhere in the group.
Photographs issued with the announcement show an office carrying Abanchy Africa signage and four executives at the premises, indicating the operation is physically established rather than a registration alone.
What the announcement does not say
This is a company release relayed by a newsroom, not independently reported, and several of the figures that would let a reader judge the scale of the move are absent.
It gives no investment figure, no headcount for the Kenyan operation, no launch date for trading, and no revenue contribution — current or projected — from the group’s existing foreign offices. It does not say whether Abanchy Africa is wholly owned or has local shareholders, which matters in Kenya, nor whether the company holds the freight-forwarding licences that operating there requires.
There is also a wrinkle in how the group describes its own history. The announcement dates its African presence to sales offices opened in Ethiopia and Dubai in 2024 — but Dubai is in the United Arab Emirates, not Africa, so the count of African operations before Kenya is one, not two.
