Samsung Sri Lanka has launched a Mini LED television range in the local market, with two models priced at Rs. 649,999 and Rs. 839,999, Hiru News reported.

The range went on sale on 24 September. The lineup comprises a 75-inch set (UA75M70HARXSG) at an indicative market price of Rs. 649,999 and an 85-inch set (UA85M70HARXSG) at Rs. 839,999. The model codes place both in Samsung’s M70H Mini LED series.

What the sets claim to do

The televisions run Samsung’s NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, which the company says analyses and optimises picture and sound in real time and lifts content quality regardless of the source resolution. Samsung says its Mini LED backlight gives finer control over lighting zones for deeper blacks and brighter highlights, paired with a Pure Spectrum Color panel technology aimed at holding colour accuracy in bright rooms.

An AI upscaling feature targets lower-resolution material, while sound processing adjusts automatically to keep dialogue clear.

For gaming, the sets support variable refresh rate (VRR), auto low latency mode (ALLM) and what Samsung describes as ultra-low latency, intended to reduce motion blur and input lag. Both support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, and can act as a control point for compatible smart home devices.

Distribution

Sabry Ansar, Director and Head of Consumer Electronics for Samsung Sri Lanka and Maldives, said the company was continuing to bring global technology to local buyers. The lineup “is designed to deliver an elevated entertainment experience through stunning picture quality, intelligent AI-powered features, immersive sound, and powerful gaming capabilities,” he said.

The range will be sold through authorised retail partners Singer Sri Lanka, Singhagiri and Damro, with some outlets offering promotions and instalment plans.

Samsung positioned the launch as part of its Vision AI strategy, which pairs display hardware with AI-driven personalisation.
