99x, a product engineering company headquartered in Norway with its roots and main technology base in Sri Lanka, has launched AI Hub, an observability platform for tracking and managing AI-assisted software workflows, EconomyNext reported.

The platform gives businesses a single dashboard to monitor performance, maintain output quality and control costs as engineering teams adopt AI tools across their operations.

β€œAI adoption is happening at a remarkable pace, but adopting more tools does not automatically mean achieving better outcomes,” said Kalana Wijesekara, Chief Developer Experience Officer at 99x. β€œAI Hub gives teams the visibility to understand what is happening within their AI-assisted workflows.”

What it measures

The company describes the product as working like an assembly line tracker for software development, mapping the contribution of AI at each step of a workflow. It measures:

It also identifies operational bottlenecks β€” the company gives delays caused by manual reviews as an example.

AI Hub has completed pilot testing and is now being rolled out to 99x’s international clients to help them evaluate tool performance and optimise digital spending.

The company behind it

The launch coincided with recognition for a separate 99x product, the agentic platform xians.ai, which won Gold for Best Agentic AI Solution at the National AI Awards 2026 and took honours at the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards.

Group CEO Odd-Sverre Østlie said clients increasingly want to move faster and understand how AI can create measurable business value, and need specialised expertise to integrate AI into core operations rather than relying on off-the-shelf software.

Shehani Seneviratne, Chief Operating Officer of 99x Product Engineering, said AI is also reshaping technology careers, creating roles such as Forward Deployed Engineers who combine technical skills with direct customer problem-solving.

99x employs more than 600 specialists across Sri Lanka, Norway, Brazil, Portugal and Malaysia, and says Sri Lanka remains its primary technology and competence hub as global demand expands.

A note on the record

This is the third distinct 99x platform launch reported in 2026, and the three are routinely conflated: xians.ai is the agentic orchestration platform, Agentri AI was unveiled in Colombo earlier in the year, and AI Hub β€” the subject here β€” is an observability layer over AI-assisted workflows rather than an AI product itself. Readers comparing coverage should discriminate on the product name.

EconomyNext is the only verified newsroom this desk found carrying the AI Hub launch, and the filing reads as a company announcement. No independent assessment of the platform, pricing, or customer numbers is reported.
