Ladies’ College, Colombo won the 21st annual rowing encounter against Musaeus College, scoring 29 points to Musaeus College’s 23, Hiru News reported.
The regatta was held at the Colombo Rowing Club, with ten races contested across singles, doubles and fours. The principals of both schools attended.
The photograph published with the filing shows a coxed four of schoolgirl rowers on the water, consistent with the account of the programme.
Rowing is one of the smaller school sports in Sri Lanka, and at 21 editions the Ladies’ College–Musaeus encounter is among the established girls’ fixtures on that calendar.
Not reported: the filing does not give the date of the regatta, saying only that it was held “recently”. It does not name any individual rower or crew, does not give the results of individual races or the points breakdown, and does not say which school held the trophy going into the fixture. It carries no comment from either school.
