Thineth Software Solutions has won the Best Enterprise-Centric Solution award for the hospitality industry in the commercial category of the Tourism Start-Up Competition 2026, organised by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority under the theme “AI-driven innovation for the future of tourism”.

The award recognised two of the company’s products, Hiru News reported. Hotel E-Shop is a digital concierge system that allows hotel guests to book rooms and order food and beverages, while the E-Task App manages institutional workflows and staff assignments. Together, the company says, the systems streamline operations, reduce service delays and improve efficiency in the hotel sector.

The firm was also recognised at the National AI Awards held during Sri Lanka AI Week 2026, where attention fell on Thinexa AI, its customer management platform. The platform provides round-the-clock automated multilingual customer communication and performance monitoring, and goes beyond conventional chatbot technology by introducing what the company calls virtual employees — software agents that carry out tasks automatically. These include an AI Manager, which oversees operations and staff responsibilities, and an AI Accountant, which flags financial anomalies and automates account reconciliation.

Thinexa AI also adds capabilities to Thinacal ERP, the company’s enterprise resource planning suite, whose modules cover accounting, sales force automation, factory and production management, point of sale and institute management. The systems use automated data entry and pattern recognition to cut manual entry and reduce human error, and to identify cash flow irregularities and business trends earlier.

Founder shareholders Dr M.B.M. Rameesh, Pubudu Dasanayake and Dinindu Prabhath accepted the awards.

On timing. Hiru’s filing is dated 23 October but does not date the ceremonies. The awards photograph accompanying it is taken against a World Tourism Day 2026 backdrop, which places that presentation in late September; this desk’s own reporting established that the National AI Awards 2026 were presented on 30 September at the Monarch Imperial during Sri Lanka AI Week. The recognition therefore predates the report of it by several weeks.
