Soul Sounds, Sri Lanka’s award-winning female vocal ensemble, will headline a Christmas charity concert and bazaar in Colombo next month, with ticket proceeds directed to three separate causes.

The concert, titled “O Come Let Us Adore Him”, is presented by the Rays of Hope Foundation and takes place on Saturday, 21 November at 7 p.m. at the Bishop’s College Auditorium, Colombo, EconomyNext reported.

The ensemble will be joined by the Soul Sounds Community Choir, Anjanee Fernando and KingdomCity for a programme of carols, classics and Christmas music.

Where the money goes

Ticket revenue is being split across three beneficiaries, each working with a different group:

A Christmas bazaar running before and around the concert will support the same causes.

“Christmas is a time for hope, compassion and coming together for something greater than ourselves,” said Chamindri Wijemanne, founder of the Rays of Hope Foundation Sri Lanka. “Through O Come Let Us Adore Him, we hope to bring people together through the power of music while extending meaningful support to causes that make a difference in the lives of others.”

Tickets range from Rs 1,000 for balcony seating to Rs 5,000, and are sold at Thai Boulevard, 33 Queens Road, Colombo 3, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The filing does not give a fundraising target, say how proceeds are divided between the three beneficiaries, or name the concert’s sponsors. It does not say whether the bazaar’s trading revenue is treated separately from ticket sales.
