Janashakthi Finance PLC has marked Customer Service Week 2026 under the theme ‘Extra Mile’, in a year that is also the company’s 45th anniversary.

The programme brought customers and employees together through branch-level engagements and included staff recognition for front-office and back-office teams, the Daily Mirror reported.

What the company said

Chief Executive Sithambaram Sri Ganendran said the company’s “45-year journey has been built on the trust of our customers,” adding that it aims to continue earning that trust “by listening carefully, responding promptly and taking responsibility for resolving their concerns.”

He framed the week as a restatement of a year-round standard: “every team, whether at a branch or behind the scenes, has a role to play in serving our customers well.”

Head of Marketing Dharana Korale Arachchi said the week gave staff an opportunity to thank customers for their loyalty and to recognise the employees supporting them, and that such interactions “help us better understand what the customers value and where we can improve.”

The announcement does not give the dates of the week’s activities, the number of branches involved, or any customer service metrics — complaint volumes, resolution times or satisfaction scores — against which the stated commitment could be measured. It does not describe the staff recognition awards made.
