LOLC Finance has been ranked Sri Lanka’s most valuable non-bank financial institution (NBFI) brand for the fifth consecutive year, according to Brand Finance’s 2026 rankings.

In the Brand Finance Sri Lanka 100 rankings for 2026, the company placed 15th overall, with a brand value of Rs. 13,788 million and an AA+ brand rating, the Daily Mirror reported.

Brand Finance assesses brands by combining a brand value figure with a measure of brand strength drawn from metrics including marketing investment, stakeholder equity and business performance. The consultancy was the first certified to provide ISO-compliant brand valuation and the first to produce reports compliant with both the ISO 10668 and ISO 20671 standards.

What the company said

Chief Executive Krishan Thilakaratne said the ranking “reflects the relationship with our stakeholders that extends well beyond financial transactions.”

Head of Marketing Communications Prasad Perera said retaining the NBFI position and ranking 15th among the country’s top 100 brands was “a strong endorsement of the strategy we have followed.”

The company operates a network of more than 200 branches alongside digital platforms, an approach it describes as pairing face-to-face relationships with technology intended to make services faster and simpler.

The announcement does not give LOLC Finance’s brand value or ranking in the previous year, so the direction and scale of any change is not stated. It does not say when the 2026 rankings were published, name the other NBFI brands in the table, or give the total value of the Sri Lanka 100.

The award was presented by Brand Finance Lanka Chairman Ruchi Gunewardene and Echelon Media Executive Director Antoinette Ludowyk. The figures above are as reported in the company’s announcement; this desk found no independent newsroom filing on LOLC’s placement within the current reporting window, and readers should note that brand valuations are modelled estimates rather than audited financial figures.
