NEO Technologies will host its Hard Talk event on Friday, 6 November, from 6:00 p.m. at 8Degrees at Cinnamon Lakeside in Colombo.
The company said the evening will bring together diplomats, business leaders and associates, the Daily Mirror reported.
The programme
Photographer, writer and educator Ian Lockwood will open with a presentation on Sri Lanka’s “Sky Islands” — the island’s montane rainforest landscapes.
That is followed by a talk billed as the “Sweet Spot of Management” from NEO founder Major Tissa Aluwihare, covering his four decades as an entrepreneur.
The Hard Talk Forum itself is intended as a candid exchange of views on Sri Lanka’s commercial security industry. The evening also includes catering and music from Sheam Dean & Band.
Context
Sri Lanka’s private security sector supplies manned guarding and electronic security to commercial, industrial and residential clients, and is licensed and regulated by the state. Industry forums of this kind are among the few occasions where operators discuss the sector’s conditions publicly.
Not reported
The announcement does not name the panellists for the forum, state which issues facing the industry will be raised, or say whether attendance is open or by invitation. It does not give a registration contact or indicate whether proceedings will be published.
The host is NEO Technologies, a private company in the security industry — not a national employers’ body, with which the initials are sometimes confused. No other verified newsroom had carried the announcement at the time of writing.
