A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Madiwela after officers recovered a consignment of narcotics buried at a house, police said.
Officers of the Western Province North Crime Division made the arrest, Hiru News reported.
Police said the haul comprised:
- 3kg 649g of heroin
- 2kg 109g of crystal methamphetamine (“ice”)
- 558g of kush
Together that comes to just over 6.3 kilograms.
Further investigations into the arrested suspect are continuing. Police did not say how long the drugs are believed to have been buried at the property, whether the suspect owns or occupies the house, or what led officers to the location.
