Hatton Police have released CCTV footage of the suspect believed to be responsible for the killing of an elderly couple in Dikoya earlier this week, appealing to the public for information to help locate and arrest him.
The footage relates to the murder of the elderly couple found dead inside their shop in Hatton-Dikoya on Thursday with multiple sharp-weapon injuries. The couple ran a small business at the premises where they lived alone, and police treated the killings as a robbery-murder from the outset.
Investigators on Saturday released images and a video clip of the suspect captured by surveillance cameras in the shop, asking anyone who recognises him or has information on his movements to contact the nearest police station or the Hatton Police directly.
The suspect was not in custody as of Saturday afternoon, Ada Derana reported. The case is being investigated by Hatton Police.
