Pakistan Navy ships PNS Taimur and PNS Aslat departed Colombo on April 13 following a two-day goodwill visit that included the LION STAR V bilateral naval exercise, The Island reported.
The Sri Lanka Navy rendered full naval honours as the vessels set sail, marking the conclusion of a visit that underscored growing defence cooperation between the two nations.
The ships had arrived in Colombo on approximately April 11 for the bilateral exercise. Their visit coincided with a period of heightened regional naval activity, with Pakistan’s Army Chief simultaneously involved in diplomatic efforts in Tehran as Islamabad continued to mediate US-Iran ceasefire talks.
