A group of unidentified persons arriving in a car opened fire at a house in Gandara, Dondra, in the early hours of Tuesday (July 22), police said. No casualties were reported in the incident.
According to police, the assailants used a pistol-type firearm to fire at the residence before fleeing the scene. The targeted home, located on Edanda Road within the Gandara Police Division, belongs to a person engaged in the fishing trade.
Police said investigations are under way to identify the attackers and establish a motive for the shooting. No arrests had been reported at the time of writing.
The attack is the latest in a series of targeted firearm incidents reported across the Southern Province in recent days, several of which police have linked to personal and business disputes.
