Candidates sitting the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination can make amendments to their admission cards online until 12.00 midnight on August 3, the Department of Examinations has announced, stressing that no further extension will be granted.

Commissioner General of Examinations A.K.S. Indika Kumari Liyanage said the 2026 A/L Examination will be held from August 10 to September 5 at 2,532 examination centres across the country.

According to the Department, admission cards for school candidates have been sent to the respective Zonal Education Offices, and principals should collect them from the Deputy or Assistant Director of Education in charge of examinations in their zone. Admission cards for private candidates have been posted to their home addresses.

School candidates who need corrections should log in to the Department of Examinations website using the username and password issued to school principals and make the changes online. Private candidates can amend their details on the same website by entering their National Identity Card (NIC) number.
