Sri Lanka Cricket has named a 15-member squad for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026, to be held in the United Arab Emirates from 28 August to 13 September.
Chamari Athapaththu will captain the side, with Harshitha Samarawickrama named vice-captain.
Athapaththu, the country’s most capped and most prolific women’s batter, continues in a role she has held across recent major assignments, including the T20 World Cup squad named in May.

Chamari Athapaththu (captain), Harshitha Samarawickrama (vice-captain), Imesha Dulani, Sanjana Kavindi, Vishmi Gunarathne, Kaveesha Dilhari, Nilakshika Silva, Hasini Perera, Kaushini Nuthyangana (wicketkeeper), Dewmi Vihanga, Sugandika Dassanayaka, Chamudi Praboda, Chethana Vimukthi, Kawya Kavindi and Mithali Ayodya.
Sri Lanka go into the tournament as the reigning continental champions, having lifted the last Women’s T20 Asia Cup — a result Cricket Transformation Committee Chairman Eran Wickramaratne described as “rewriting the history of women’s cricket in Sri Lanka.”
