Four people were injured and admitted to hospital after a knife attack and assault at a fuel station in Kilinochchi town on the night of Thursday, 10 September, Hiru News reported.
The confrontation began over a routine instruction. A station employee asked the driver of a tipper truck to move his vehicle forward after refuelling. The exchange escalated into an argument, and the driver left the premises — but returned a short time later with five other men and carried out the attack.
Four people sustained injuries: the owner of the fuel station, the manager, an employee and a customer. All four were hospitalised.
The group fled the scene afterwards. Kilinochchi Police are conducting further investigations and are working from CCTV footage of the incident recorded at the station.
