Two young men, both aged 20, were killed in a motorcycle accident in Athurugiriya early Sunday morning, Police said.
The crash occurred along the Athurugiriya–Kottawa road when the motorcycle reportedly lost control, veered off the road and slammed into a wall. Both the rider and the pillion rider sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Homagama Hospital, where they later succumbed.
The victims were residents of Medirigiriya and Halawatha. Police are continuing their investigation.
