The Board of Investment (BOI) has opened a new tranche of investment opportunities across eight sectors for both local and foreign investors, accompanied by feasibility reports designed to make due diligence more straightforward.

Acting Chairman Dr. Sulakshana Jayawardena said the new project pipeline has been published on the BOI’s official website, investsrilanka.com, with the feasibility studies attached so investors can move directly into evaluation.

The opportunities span tourism, manufacturing, transport, information technology, agriculture and agro-purchasing, city and housing development, aviation, and renewable energy. The breadth of the new pipeline reflects the government’s effort to channel investor interest into pre-scoped projects rather than asking sponsors to originate proposals from scratch.

The push follows a series of BOI initiatives in recent weeks aimed at deepening the institutional pipeline. The Board has already issued a Request for Information on green hydrogen and ammonia under the renewable-energy banner, and Dr. Jayawardena was confirmed in his acting chairman role earlier this cycle.

The agency has not disclosed the aggregate investment quantum or expected employment generation across the eight sectors. Investors can access the project list and feasibility documents directly through the BOI portal.
