Chaaminda Kumarasiri has stepped down as Group Managing Director of The Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC with effect from May 14, the company disclosed to the Colombo Stock Exchange.

Kumarasiri was appointed Group Managing Director in June 2025. Lanka Hospitals delivered what the company described as its strongest financial and operational performance since inception in 2025, driven by improved operational efficiencies, enhanced service standards, strengthened governance practices and the expansion of healthcare services.

During his tenure the organisation developed a five-year strategic roadmap under the theme β€œHEARTS 360” for its next growth phase. The plan was recently presented to the Deputy Minister of Finance and the Secretary to the Treasury.

The company said Kumarasiri will continue to serve on the Board as a Non-Executive Director. Lanka Hospitals also recently announced the appointment of a new Group Chief Executive Officer with effect from May 4 as part of its leadership transition.

A management consultant and corporate strategist, Kumarasiri has held senior leadership positions across local and multinational organisations and remains active in advisory and governance roles.
