LG Electronics has opened its first Sri Lanka Business Innovation Centre at Abans Elite in Colombo 3 — the country’s first experience hub dedicated exclusively to advanced information displays and audio-visual solutions for business customers, the Daily FT reported.

The centre was inaugurated on 14 May 2026 with LG Sri Lanka Managing Director Keith Chung, Abans Managing Director Rusi Pestonjee, Abans Director Dr. Saroshi Dubash and Abans Director Business Development Tanaz Pestonjee on hand. It is open for customer visits and demonstration sessions.

Unlike a conventional retail outlet, LG and Abans say the facility presents integrated commercial solutions rather than individual products. The showcase covers video walls, digital signage, all-in-one LED screens and the LG CreateBoard, with sector-specific demonstrations for retail (powered by LG’s SuperSign CMS and ConnectedCare remote-management tools), transport and public-space digital signage, and dedicated Pro TV Solutions for hospitality and healthcare clients via the Pro Cloud and Pro Direct platforms.

“As a leader in digital transformation, LG is committed to helping businesses operate in more flexible environments,” Chung said at the launch. “This Innovation Centre demonstrates how integrated AV and information display solutions can drive innovation across every aspect of a client’s operations.”

Rusi Pestonjee called the partnership a “pioneering initiative” that offers “end-to-end commercial solutions under one roof.” Abans is a long-standing LG distribution partner in Sri Lanka and has been expanding its commercial-segment offering alongside its consumer business. The Colombo opening lands the same week as LG Electronics’ broader regional push and follows a wider stream of business-display rollouts across South Asia.
