Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced its squads for the West Indies Emerging Teams tour of Sri Lanka 2026, Newswire reported, citing an SLC statement.
The bilateral contest will feature two four-day games and a three-match one-day series between the two emerging sides. The opening four-day fixture begins on June 8 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium (MRICS) in Hambantota, with the second four-day game starting at the same venue on June 15.
The one-day series follows in Colombo. The first two ODIs will be played at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) Ground on June 22 and 24, with the deciding ODI moving to the Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC) Ground on June 26.
The Emerging Teams tour runs parallel to Sri Lanka’s senior men’s commitments overseas. Sri Lanka’s full squad is currently in the Caribbean for a white-ball and Test tour of the West Indies that began with the opening ODI in Kingston this week, the tour schedule for which was confirmed in early May. At the developmental level, the home Emerging tour offers selectors the next look at age-group and “A” team prospects after governance disputes around SLC’s tour selection process earlier in the cycle.
