Sri Lanka’s national men’s cricket team will tour New Zealand in January and February 2027 for an all-format series, Newswire reported.

The tour will comprise three One-Day Internationals, three Twenty20 Internationals and two Test matches, the report said. Venue details and the full fixture list have not yet been publicly announced.

The visit will give Sri Lanka head coach Gary Kirsten and captain Kusal Mendis an early opportunity to test their long-format and white-ball groups in conditions traditionally regarded as among the toughest for visiting subcontinent sides. New Zealand most recently host Sri Lanka in early 2023 for a multi-format series and the two boards have used the FTP cycle to lock in a 2027 visit.

The 2027 trip will fall in the gap between Sri Lanka’s current West Indies tour under Mendis and Kirsten and the team’s later home and ICC commitments.
