A 32-year-old woman has been killed after being attacked with a sharp weapon in Netolagama, Wellawaya, police said on Tuesday.
Initial investigations revealed that the murder occurred following a personal dispute between the victim, a married woman, and her lover. The deceased has been identified as a resident of Netolagama, Wellawaya in Uva Province.
Police are conducting further investigations into the incident. No arrests have been reported so far.
