The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) has launched a new digital investment platform offering foreign investors direct access to 30 structured, project-ready opportunities across multiple sectors.
The platform, titled “Ready to Invest,” is now live at readytoinvestsl.com. The BOI said it features opportunities across eight key sectors — tourism and leisure, manufacturing, transport and logistics, ICT and tech-park development, agriculture and agro-processing, urban and mixed-use development, aviation, ports and maritime infrastructure, and renewable energy. The initiative is designed to connect global investors with projects that are already scoped and prepared for international partnerships.
Highlighting the investment outlook, the BOI noted that Sri Lanka recorded 5% GDP growth in both 2024 and 2025, while foreign direct investment reached US$1.06 billion in 2025 — a 73% increase over the previous year. It said US$1.9 billion worth of BOI-approved projects are ready to commence operations.
The agency emphasised that Sri Lanka allows 100% foreign ownership in most sectors and guarantees the repatriation of capital and profits. It also promoted the island’s strategic Indian Ocean location and skilled, English-speaking workforce as advantages for investors.
The new portal builds on an earlier BOI pipeline launched on investsrilanka.com this month, which published feasibility studies across the same broad sector mix, and follows the Board’s request for information on green hydrogen and ammonia under the renewable-energy banner.
