Pakistan’s women’s team will tour Sri Lanka for a white-ball series immediately after the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, the International Cricket Council confirmed in dispatches carried by Ada Derana. All six fixtures will be played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.
The teams will contest three One-Day Internationals beginning July 23, followed by a three-match T20I leg starting July 31. The ODIs (July 23, 25 and 28) are part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025–29, where Pakistan currently sit second with eight points from six matches. New Zealand lead the table with 13 points. The T20I leg (July 31, August 2 and August 4) is a bilateral series outside the championship cycle.
Sri Lanka hold a 22–12 head-to-head advantage in the 50-over format from 34 previous meetings, while Pakistan lead the T20I record 11–9 from 21 contests.
Both squads are currently in England preparing for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which begins on Friday, June 12. Pakistan open their campaign against arch-rivals India on June 14, while Chamari Athapaththu’s Sri Lanka side, named on May 29, are drawn against hosts England in the tournament opener. The Sri Lankans entered the tournament off the back of a seven-wicket warm-up win over the Netherlands earlier on Wednesday.
The Hambantota assignment will be Pakistan’s first international tour to Sri Lanka of the 2026 home season and gives Athapaththu’s group an extended block of high-tempo competition at home before the next ICC Women’s Championship window.
