The Ministry of Education has announced that interviews for the recruitment of teacher trainees to National Colleges of Education (Vidya Peeta) will commence on April 21 and run until May 8.
The interviews are based on 2023/2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level results and will be held at the respective Colleges of Education across the country. The list of applicants selected for interviews has been published on the official website of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education.
The recruitment comes as Sri Lanka’s education sector grapples with ongoing challenges including 11,400 complaints of corporal punishment in schools and a recent push for fully funded foreign scholarships for top A/L performers.
Eligible candidates are advised to check the ministry website for their interview schedules and venue assignments.
