Sri Lanka’s national men’s cricket team will tour New Zealand during January and February 2027 for an all-format series, the schedule for which has now been announced.

The tour will comprise three One-Day Internationals, three Twenty20 Internationals and two Test matches, Newswire reported. The full venue and date breakdown was confirmed alongside the announcement.

The senior tour caps a busy Sri Lanka–New Zealand cricket calendar that began with the New Zealand A team’s April visit to Colombo and ran in parallel with broader bilateral engagement marking a century of Sri Lanka–New Zealand cricket ties. Sri Lanka’s women’s pathway side also travelled to New Zealand earlier in the cycle for an A-team series.

The 2027 tour offers Sri Lanka’s red-ball side meaningful preparation against a top-tier home opponent ahead of the next phase of the ICC World Test Championship cycle, while the white-ball legs run into the international fixture window typically reserved for early-year bilateral series.
