Cricket West Indies has named a 15-member squad for the upcoming One-Day International series against Sri Lanka, with wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope set to lead the side, Newswire reported.
The squad blends experienced campaigners with emerging talent. Joining Hope are Shimron Hetmyer, fast bowler Alzarri Joseph, left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie and all-rounder Roston Chase. The full party comprises Shai Hope (captain), Akeem Auguste, John Campbell, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Justin Greaves, Shimron Hetmyer, Amir Jangoo, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Gudakesh Motie, Sherfane Rutherford, Jayden Seales and Shamar Springer.
The three-match ODI series will be played at Sabina Park in Jamaica, with matches scheduled for June 3, 6 and 8. The opening leg is followed by a three-match T20I series between June 11 and 14 and then a two-match Test series in Antigua running from June 25 to July 7.
The squad announcement marks the first formal confirmation of the home line-up since Cricket West Indies set out its full 2026 home season, which also includes inbound tours by New Zealand and Pakistan. Sri Lankaβs own selection process for the Caribbean tour became publicly contested last week after conflicting accounts emerged over which Sri Lanka Cricket panel had finalised the touring parties.
West Indies sit ninth in the 2025-27 World Test Championship cycle and will be looking to use the month-long home series across formats to rebuild momentum, with Sri Lanka in sixth.
