Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced a 15-member squad for the three-match T20 International series against Sri Lanka, the white-ball leg that follows the ODI portion of the tour. All three matches will be played as day-night fixtures at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica, between June 11 and June 14.

The hosts have built the squad around Brandon King in the top order, with middle-order batters Rovman Powell and Sherfane Rutherford, and a deep all-round group that includes Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd and Shamar Springer. The frontline bowling cohort features Matthew Forde, left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein, left-arm fast bowler Shamar Joseph and slow left-armer Gudakesh Motie.

For Sri Lanka, the squad named in May is built around the new Kusal Mendis–Sanath Jayasuriya era and follows a 41-run win in the first ODI, a ten per cent match-fee fine for slow over-rates and the rain-abandoned second ODI in Kingston.

The T20Is form part of preparations for next year’s regional white-ball calendar, with both sides using the series to test combinations in Caribbean conditions. The first match begins at 19:00 local time on June 11.
